Second Marriage

In most of the cases, the loss of a spouse leads to second marriage, especially when the spouse dies young. In some cases, misunderstanding among the couple leads to divorce and divorce leads to second marriage. In some cases, the boy or girl is already in love with someone before marriage or fall in love with another person after marriage. Such love affairs leads to divorce and second marriage.

The end of the first marriage does not guarantee a second marriage unless the planetary positions are good enough for the second marriage.

Houses responsible for Second marriage :

1. 7th house Lord signifies wife in a male horoscope and husband in a female horoscope
2. 8th house which signifies lifespan of spouse also signifies second marriage
3. 9th house (3rd house from 7th house, wife's younger sister) signifies second marriage
4. 11th house signifies second marriage

Planets responsible for Second marriage :

1. Venus is the significator of Wife (Kalathra Karaka) in Male's horoscope
2. Venus also signifies Love and Relationship
3. Jupiter is the significator of Husband (Kalathra Karaka) in Female's horoscope
4. Jupiter also signifies Growth / Expansion (Vriddhi)

Planetary Combinations for Second marriage : Jupiter's aspect on 2nd, 7th or 11th house is the primary factor for second marriage. These houses should not be afflicted by the aspect or placement of Malefic planets like Mars, Saturn, Sun or Rahu / Ketu.

Indicators of Second marriage :

1. Strength of 7th house Vs 11th house - If the 11th house is stronger than the 7th house, it indicates that the first marriage will break up and lead to a second marriage.

2. Association of 7th & 9th house Lord - If 7th house Lord and 9th house Lord are associated by placement or conjunction, it indicates possibility of second marriage.

3. Placement of 7th house Lord in Dual signs - If the 7th house Lord is placed in Dual signs (i.e. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces), there is a possibility of second marriage. However, if the Lagna itself is a Dual Sign Lagna which otherwise means Upaya Lagna, then placement of 7th house Lord in Dual sign will only delay the marriage.

4. Placement of 7th house Lord in 8th house - If the 7th house Lord is placed in 8th house, it indicates Spouse is likely to die. If planetary positions are favorable for second marriage, the native will remarry after separation.

5. Placement of Mars in 8th house - Placement of Mars in the 8th house, especially if it is in Taurus, Gemini, Virgo or Libra, forms strong Manglik Dosha (Mangalya Dosham). Manglik Dosha indicates that the native's spouse is likely to die. If planetary positions are favorable for second marriage, the native will remarry after losing spouse.

6. Conjunction of Mars & Venus and strong 11th house - If Mars (significator of separation) is conjoined with Venus in a horoscope, the marriage will break up. If the 11th house is strong in such a horoscope, it indicates the possibility of second marriage.

7. Conjunction of Mars and 7th house Lord in 7th house - If Mars (significator of seperator) conjuncts with the 7th house Lord (spouse), it indicates that the spouse will be separated. If planetary positions are favorable for second marriage, the native will remarry after separation.

8. Conjunction of Venus with Mars or Sun in 7th house - If Venus is in conjunction with Mars or Sun in the 7th house, it indicates the possibility of second marriage. Placement of Sun in 7th house forms strong Kalathra Dosha. When Venus conjuncts Sun in the 7th house, then the couple will have serious marital problems due to Ego. 9. Placement of Jupiter / Multiple Planets in 7th house - If multiple planets, especially, Jupiter and / or Venus are placed in 7th house, it indicates a second marriage. 10. Association of 6th, 7th & 8th houses and their Lords - If the Lords of 6th, 7th and 8th houses are in conjunction and placed in any of these houses, the marriage will break up. If planetary positions are favorable for second marriage, the native will remarry after separation.

Predicting the period for second marriage : The second marriage will take place during Jupiter or Rahu Dasha or other Benefic Planet Dasha. The Bhukthi Lord can be Jupiter or Lord of 2nd or 7th or 11th house or planets posited in these houses.

For example, consider a horoscope with Scorpio Lagna, Rahu posited in 2nd house (Sagittarius), Venus posited in 7th house (Taurus) and Mercury posited in 11th house (Virgo).

If the current Dasha is Jupiter, then the second marriage is likely to take place during Jupiter, Mercury, Venus or Rahu Bhukthi.

If the current Dasha is Rahu, then the second marriage is likely to take place during Rahu, Jupiter, Mercury or Venus Bhukthi.

In most of the cases, the first marriage would have ended during the Bhukthi period of Malefic Planets like Mars, Saturn, Sun or Ketu.

Sample 1 : Shown below is the horoscope of a person whose first marriage was unsuccessful.

After 15 years of marriage, the couples separated as the spouse moved to another city due to work. The problem started from there. They had frequent disagreements and later divorced. Three years after the divorce, the native remarried.

In this horoscope,
