In most arranged marriages, parents mandate the Horoscope Compatibility.
Once the horoscopes of boy and girl match, the parents ask their astrologer to analyze the horoscope for any
marriage dosha.
If the horoscope is clean, they arrange a meeting between the boy and the girl. In some cases, both boy and girl say "okay" at the first
meet itself. But, in most cases, either the boy rejects the girl or the girl rejects the boy or both mutually reject the other.
So what happened to horoscope matching?. For those whose marriage is delayed, they say that horoscope is the reason for delay in
marriage. But why does the boy or girl reject the other even if the horoscopes match well?.
Now we can understand that mere horoscope matching does not guarantee marriage and there is something called Karma.
A boy's horoscope can match hundreds of girls' horoscopes. So is the horoscope of a girl.
But in this life, according to Karma, only those who are destined to live together will marry among themselves.
That's why they keep rejecting until they meet the right partner.
Now comes the question. Is it possible to find the right pair or partner through horoscope?. The answer is "Yes" and "No".
Only under certain conditions, it can be predicted that the boy and girl will say 'okay' for marriage whose horoscopes match.
1. Clean Horoscope - If the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th house from Lagna are not affected, it is called a clean horoscope.
If the ruling Dasa Lord is the friend of Lagna Lord, it is called as Yoga Dasa.
At the time of horoscope matching if the horoscopes of both Boy and Girl are clean and their current dasa is a Yoga dasa, then both
have a 60% chance of marriage. If one of the horoscope is not clean and has dosha, then the boy or girl will reject the other.
2. Debilitation of 7th house Lord - 7th house Lord from Lagna signifies Spouse of the native. If the 7th house Lord
(Kalathra Sthanathipathi) is debilitated in Boy or Girl's horoscope, then their spouse will have some shortfall.
The spouse will not be equal in one or more status viz., 1) Finance 2) Education 3) Family background 4) Complexion or 5) Personality.
Therefore, if the 7th house Lord is debilitated either in boy or girls' horoscope and the other meets one or more of the above
conditions, there is 60% chance of marriage. Even if the debilitation is cancelled, it will still show the effect of debilitation
first.
For example, if the native's Lagna is Gemini and the 7th house lord Jupiter is in Capricorn, then the spouse will have some
shortfall as mentioned above. So, if these two conditions are fulfilled during horoscope matching, there is a 60% chance that the
two will get married.

3. Birth Star and Dasa Lord - If the girl's Janma Nakshatra lord is the boy's current dasa lord or If the boy's Janma
Nakshatra lord is the girl's current dasa lord, then the chances of those two getting married is as high as 90%.
For example, if Girl's Janma Nakshatra is Aswini and Boy's current dasa is Ketu, there is a 90% chance of marriage. Similarly,
if Boy's Janma Nakshatra i Ardra and Girl's dasa is Rahu, there is a 90% chance of marriage.

4. Puthra Shoka (पुत्र शोक) - It means sufferings caused to parents by their child. 5th house from Lagna signifies
children.
If the 5th house Lord (Puthra Sthanathipathi) is debilitated or afflicted by Malefics in Boy or Girl's horoscope, then there will
be loss of child. This indicates that the native has to suffer from child loss as per Karma.

At the time of horoscope matching if both Girl and Boy have Puthra shokha in their horoscopes, then the chances of those two
getting married is as high as 90%.
If one does not have this dosha in the horoscope, then the boy and girl will reject each other until the right partner comes along.
Let us say, the Boy's Lagna is Pisces and the 5th house lord Moon is posited in Scorpio. If the Girl's Lagna is Scorpio and the 5th house
lord Jupiter is posited in Capricon, then the chances those two getting married is as high as 90%.

5. Manglik Dosha - 8th house from Lagna signifies the lifespan (Ayu sthanam) of the native as well as the lifespan of Spouse.
When Mars is placed in 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house it is called as Mangal or Manglik Dosha or Kuja Dosha or Sevvai dosham
in Tamil. Placement of Mars in the 8th house in a Girl's horoscope is called as Mangalya Dosham in Tamil.
If Lagna and Lagna Lord, 8th house and 8th house Lords are afflicted, it indicates that the native has a short lifespan (Alpayu).
Similarly, placement of Mars in 8th house indicates that the native's spouse has a short lifespan.
At the time of horoscope matching, if Boy's horoscope shows Manglik Dosha and Girl's lifespan is short according to her horoscope
Or if Girl has Mangalya dosham and Boy lifespan is short then the chances of those two getting married is as high as 90%.
The Manglik dosha will be triggered during the Dasa of Mars or planets associated with Mars and 8th house Lord.
Apart from the conditions mentioned above, it is very difficult to predict whether a Boy and a Girl whose horoscopes match perfectly
will marry.
